Methodology, Privacy & Score Interpretation
How does the AI attractiveness test calculate my score?
The analyzer maps 478 facial landmarks in your browser and computes four primary geometric pillars: bilateral symmetry (30% weight), facial length-to-width golden ratio harmony (30% weight), intercanthal eye spacing relative to face width (20% weight), and lower-third jawline-to-cheekbone proportion (20% weight). It also measures your canthal tilt angle in degrees.
Is my photo uploaded to a server or stored anywhere?
No. The free face analysis runs 100% locally inside your web browser using WebAssembly and WebGL. Your image file never leaves your device, is never transmitted over the network, and is cleared as soon as you close or refresh the page.
What is considered a good score on this face attractiveness test?
Because scores are derived from strict geometric deviation formulas rather than flattering filters, most natural front-facing portraits score between 65 and 82 out of 100. A score of 75+ indicates above-average geometric harmony, while 85+ reflects exceptional bilateral symmetry and golden ratio alignment under ideal lighting and camera distance.
Why does my score change between different photos?
2D landmark projections are sensitive to head pitch/yaw (tilting your chin up or down), camera focal length (close-up selfies distort nose and jaw width by up to 15%), and facial expression. For the most repeatable measurement, use a photo taken at arm's length or further, looking straight into the lens with a relaxed, neutral expression.
What is canthal tilt and what angle is ideal?
Canthal tilt is the angle formed by a line drawn from the inner corner of your eye (medial canthus) to the outer corner (lateral canthus) relative to the horizontal plane. A tilt between +1° and +5° is classified as a positive canthal tilt, around 0° is neutral, and below -1° is negative.
How is the facial golden ratio (1.618) measured?
We measure the vertical distance from the forehead top landmark to the lowest chin point (menton) and divide it by the bizygomatic facial width (cheekbone to cheekbone). The closer this length-to-width ratio is to 1.618 (typically 1.56–1.66), the higher the golden ratio harmony sub-score.
